Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Taxi Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to navigate efficiently through the area, including out of town and airport runs. As a Taxi Driver, you will be responsible for transporting passengers safely and promptly to their desired destinations while ensuring a pleasant travel experience.

Drivers holding a South Kesteven Hackney Badge, Boston County Council Private Hire or Rutland County Council Private Hire badges offered a quick start

Duties

  • Provide safe and efficient transportation for passengers to various locations.
  • Maintain a clean and well-presented vehicle at all times.
  • Assist passengers with their luggage and ensure their comfort during the journey.
  • Follow traffic laws and regulations while adhering to company policies.
  • Use GPS or maps to navigate routes effectively, avoiding traffic congestion when possible.
  • Handle cash and electronic payments accurately, providing receipts as necessary.
  • Communicate clearly with passengers regarding their destinations and any potential delays.
  • Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents promptly to management.

Skills

  • Valid driving license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong knowledge of local roads, landmarks, and traffic regulations.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with diverse individuals.
  • Good time management skills to ensure timely arrivals at destinations.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations professionally.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with using GPS devices or mobile navigation applications is preferred.
  • Up to date DBS would be an advantage, a clear dbs is an essential requirement
  • Private Hire/Hackney badges licenced by SKDC & RCC Highly advantageous
