Taxi driver

Overview

We are seeking a professional and reliable Taxi Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation services to our customers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Duties

• Safely operate a taxi vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
• Pick up and drop off passengers at designated locations promptly and courteously
• Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, including routine checks and minor maintenance tasks
• Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage or heavy items as needed
• Plan routes efficiently to ensure timely arrivals, considering traffic conditions and passenger preferences
• Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information about fares, routes, or local points of interest
• Keep accurate records of trips, fares, and vehicle maintenance schedules
• Report any vehicle issues or safety concerns promptly to the management team

Qualifications

• Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record
• Proven experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is advantageous
• Experience in driving heavy vehicles or lorries is desirable but not essential
• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with diverse customers
• Ability to perform light maintenance on the vehicle when necessary
• Physical capability for heavy lifting when assisting passengers with luggage or equipment
• Excellent organisational skills for route planning and time management
• Prior experience in passenger transport or taxi services is preferred but not mandatory
