At Anglian Water, we're passionate about using data to make a real difference for our customers, communities, and the environment. As a Data Science Degree Apprentice, you'll join a team that's curious, collaborative, and always looking for new ways to solve problems.
Over this 3½ year apprenticeship, in partnership with an approved learning provider chosen by us, you'll combine classroom learning, on-the-job experience, and individual study to become a degree-level Data Science Professional. You'll develop your skills in statistics, mathematical modelling, programming, and problem-solving, supported every step of the way by experienced Data Scientists and a community that celebrates learning and innovation.
What you'll be doing:
- Get involved in real projects that help us spot problems before they happen, understand what our customers think, and make our water networks work better.
- Learn about data analysis, statistics, mathematical modelling, algorithms, and computer programming through a mix of classroom study, remote learning, and hands-on training.
- Use your new skills to help solve real challenges, like predicting when equipment might fail or finding ways to improve our services for customers
- Build your understanding of how data science helps Anglian Water make important decisions and shape a better future for everyone.
- Take charge of your own learning, with chances to build your confidence, develop new skills, and get real business experience.
- Work together with other apprentices and colleagues, sharing ideas and learning from each other.
- Always putting safety first and following our policies and procedures.
Who we're looking for:
- Grade 5 in GCSE Mathematics or equivalent, Grade 4 in GCSE English Language or equivalent
- BBC at A-Level to include Maths (the following A-Levels are not accepted: Citizenship Skills, General Studies, and Critical Thinking) or Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship at Merit or Distinction

- Organised, flexible, and able to manage time effectively
Why join Anglian Water?

- Full-time role at the end of your apprenticeship (subject to performance and behaviour)
