As a Housekeeping Staff member at our 23-bedroom boutique hotel, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and overall guest experience in our establishment. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and tidiness in guest rooms as well as public areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Room Cleaning: Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including changing linen, making beds, vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning all surfaces.

Ensure all amenities and supplies are replenished in rooms.

Report any maintenance issues or room damages to the maintenance department.

Public Area Cleaning: Clean and maintain the cleanliness of public areas, including the lobby, corridors, and other common spaces.

Regularly vacuum carpets, dust furniture, and keep public areas presentable.

Laundry Management: Collect and transport dirty linens and towels to the laundry room.

Ensure clean and neatly organized linen storage areas.

Inspection and Reporting: Conduct room inspections to ensure that cleanliness and hygiene standards are met.

Report any issues or maintenance needs to the Housekeeping Manager promptly.

Guest Services: Provide excellent customer service by promptly attending to guest requests and inquiries.

Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while interacting with guests.

Teamwork: Collaborate with other housekeeping staff to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.

Assist in training new housekeeping team members as required.

Compliance: Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.

Inventory Management: Keep track of cleaning supplies and report to the Housekeeping Manager when supplies need to be replenished.

Maintain a clean and organized housekeeping storage area.

Qualifications:

  • Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and various shifts as required.
