MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Salary: £39, £41,008.40 per Annum (with potential for allowances for Authorised Person duties)
Working Hours: Permanent, Full time Position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 07:00 and 16:00
Location: Cheltenham
Excellent benefits package including 2.5% Golden Hello payment on commencement of employment and a £2,000 annual retention bonus (pro-rata for part time employees), subject to Achieving and maintaining clearance requirements.

About The Role
As a mechanical engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and statutory compliance of our mechanical plant and systems.
Responsibilities

  • Maintenance & Repair: Respond to defects, identify root causes, and undertake statutory and routine inspections of all mechanical plant.
  • Compliance: Conduct all work to the highest standards, ensuring strict adherence to SLA, KPIs, and Health and Safety regulations.
  • Contractor Management: Oversee and escort external contractors, ensuring their work is satisfactory and compliant with all risk assessments and method statements.
  • Efficiency: Proactively monitor service delivery using PDA devices and identify opportunities for continuous service improvement.
  • Safety First: Support a safe, clean, and healthy working environment and maintain a professional image at all times.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Essential:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Mechanical Engineering

  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Ability to obtain DV clearance

  • Previous experience in a facilities maintenance environment

  • Desirable:

  • Mechanical to electrical conversion course

  • IPAF or equivalent certification
  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering
