Working Pattern: Monday to Saturday

Purpose of role

Wright Brothers is one of the UK's leading Seafood wholesale suppliers and it is important that we maintain our customer promise, high service & quality levels at all times.

The BG Driver is responsible for loading vans and delivering the correct product, on time to the correct customer in a professional and timely manner.

The Driver sees our customers the most and it is important that they represent the business in a professional and friendly manner and represent the values of The Wright Brothers.

Key Responsibilities of the role

· Updating the daily vehicle check list.

· Ensuring that your van is kept clean and tidy (incl. cab).

· Load your vehicle so the product is packed safely and in the correct drop order (and notify of any picking shortages).

· Drive in a safe& responsible manner.

· Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.

· Ensure the goods are delivered correctly and comply with any customer requests when on their site.

· Ensure that you get the required signature / details from the customers at delivery (incl. PODfather).

· Notify sales or transport Manager of any shortages immediately.

· If collections are required, complete the collection forms and return product to depot and complete WB forms.

· Report any accidents immediately to the transport manager.

· Attend team and company meetings as required.

§ You comply with company health and safety regulations.

§ The correct PPE must be worn.

§ The Vehicle daily checklist is completed and filed correctly.

§ Ensure that you have a full UK licence

§ You must notify your manager if you gain any penalty points or you receive a driving ban

§ When delivering to Customers you comply with their requests – including Health and Safety

§ The company will provide all relevant H&S training for this role.

· All necessary paperwork is completed from a food safety perspective, i.e., temperature checks, packaging reviewed, traceability procedure followed, batch dates included where applicable.

· The correct Food safety PPE must be work worn.

· Role requires passing Food safety level 1 as a minimum which will be provided by the company.

As with all roles, at times due to business needs there may be a requirement for some flexibility of start /finish times and other jobs that need to be done.

Key skills for the role

· Experienced commercial vehicle driver with full UK licence.

· Good navigation skills

· Good understanding of food warehouse & transport environments.

· Ability to work with Fresh fish / food products

· Good people skills to work with the WB team as well as support our customers

· Flexibility to adapt to changing delivery requirements

· High levels of personal hygiene

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £28,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
