Our client is looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Auditor to join their team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and brings a proactive, independent approach to risk management and financial assurance. You'll play a key role in evaluating internal controls, identifying process improvements and ensuring compliance across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct internal audits across financial, operational, and compliance areas
  • Assess risk management frameworks and recommend enhancements
  • Review financial records, systems, and processes for accuracy and integrity
  • Prepare audit reports with clear findings and actionable recommendations
  • Liaise with stakeholders across departments to support audit delivery
  • Ensure timely completion of audit cycles and documentation

Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in internal or external audit, ideally within mid-to-large organisations
  • Strong understanding of UK accounting standards, risk frameworks, and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple audit assignments
