Job DescriptionAs a Graduate Process Engineer, you will uphold UKAEA's safety, health, and welfare standards while promoting a culture of equality, diversity, and inclusion. You will also contribute to tritium science programmes and TFC work packages by conducting technology surveys and literature reviews, preparing scientific reports, designing and operating experimental equipment, analysing data, and supporting fuel-cycle and unit-operation modelling.
Your core responsibilities:
- Support TFC teams to perform practical activities associated with component maintenance, testing and calibration of Key Safety Related Equipment (KSRE) and Key Plant (KP) as directed by local instructions and testing schedules.
- Maintain, develop, record and relay information pertaining to the construction, operation, function and modification of engineering systems and experimental apparatus. This includes, but not limited to, manuals for components, system drawings and maintenance/operational records.
- Identify areas where improvements could be made to experimental apparatus, process plant systems and to operational practices and methodologies.
- Prepare and maintain Operating Instructions (OI), Work Control Packs (WCP), Risk Assessments (RA) and Method Statements (MS) documentation associated to plant operations.
- Liaise with other teams and groups to ensure effective collaboration.
- Degree in Science or Engineering from 2025 or '26
- Confident with all Microsoft applications including Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Driven, with a strong appetite to learn and take on new challenges
- Able to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Well organised and adaptable with the ability to plan and prioritise workload
