Volunteer for a startup supporting people's mental wellbeing

Calm Nest Collective

Calm Nest Collective is a female-founded startup creating quiet, sensory rooms and offering consulting on neuroinclusion, accessibility, and holistic wellbeing for events and workplaces.

At Calm Nest Collective, we address the rising need for mental wellbeing support, neuroinclusion, and accessibility in high-stress environments like events and workplaces, while promoting social equity and sustainable practices that prioritise people and the planet.

Our Calm Nest Spaces are thoughtfully designed to support mental wellbeing and provide a safe, inclusive environment for individuals to decompress and recharge - especially those who are neurodivergent or experiencing stress and overwhelm.

By combining practical solutions with inclusive design, we help events and workplaces become safer, more supportive, and truly human-centered spaces for everyone.

Role (Volunteer, unpaid): Social Media Manager

Role Description:
Calm Nest Collective is looking for a thoughtful, values-driven
Social Media Manager
to take
full ownership of our LinkedIn and Instagram presence
.

This role is about more than posting content, it's about holding the tone, pacing, and intention of a brand rooted in
wellbeing, neuroinclusion, and sustainability
. You'll work closely with our founder to ensure our messaging remains calm, human, and purposeful.

What you'll be doing:

  • Taking full ownership of the
Calm Nest Collective LinkedIn and Instagram profiles
  • Managing, scheduling, and publishing content across both platforms
  • Working from an existing content calendar and contributing ideas for future themes
  • Writing and adapting captions in line with our established brand voice
  • Engaging thoughtfully with our community (comments and messages, as agreed)
  • Coordinating closely with our Founder, Brand marketing manager, and Graphic Designer to ensure visual and written content align

We already have a strong, authentic voice, what we're looking for is someone who can
steward that voice with care and consistency
, helping it reach the right people without adding noise or urgency.

You'll be a great fit if you:

  • Care deeply about mental health, inclusion, and purposeful communication
  • Have experience managing social media accounts (especially LinkedIn and/or Instagram)
  • Are confident writing clear, human captions that don't feel salesy or forced
  • Are comfortable taking responsibility and communicating proactively
  • Enjoy collaborative, trust-based ways of working

What we offer:

  • Flexible, remote collaboration
  • Trust and autonomy within clear brand guidelines
  • The opportunity to shape meaningful conversations around wellbeing and inclusion

Please note:

We are looking for long term collaboration. Please apply only if you are genuinely interested and able to commit to the role. We kindly ask applicants to be mindful that reviewing applications and conducting interviews requires time and care.

If this resonates with you, we'd love to hear from you.

Time Commitment:
Volunteer 4-6 hours per week for 6+ months remotely
