We're seeking a dynamic Senior Technician who brings not only their technical expertise but also an innovative mindset, to join our Bridges and Structures team to assist with increasing work load in Newcastle.

What You'll Do
- Hands on structural inspections of road and/or rail structures and reporting.
- Carrying out site dimensional and topographical surveys of existing bridges for inspection and refurbishment schemes and also to support bridge replacement projects.
- Familiarity with all forms of site surveying techniques including level, EDM and point cloud.
- Preparation of method statements and safe systems of work for site inspections.
- Certified for use of ladders (Ladder Association), IPAF Harness User and Inspection and access scaffold erection (PASMA).

QualificationsReady to push the limits of what's possible?
Here's what we're looking for:
- Experienced in the undertaking of drawings for rail and road bridge and associated structural engineering schemes from inspection and assessment, feasibility through to detailed design.
- A history of assisting with supervision of Technicians as appropriate.
- Working experience in the preparation of reinforced concrete and steelwork detail drawings.
- Confident in the preparation of GA and defect drawings of existing structures including interpretation of site notes and liaison with Engineers.
- Able to assist with overall design/modelling and layout of road and/or rail structures.
- Excellent technical and communication skills both verbal and written.
