Junior SOC Analyst

Up to £42,000

Remote for the first 12 months

Manchester, Leeds, Gloucester, or London

Our client is a major defence and national security organisation delivering long term security programmes across the UK. They are hiring a Junior SOC Analyst to join their front line monitoring team, working on a large national security project that is expected to run for at least a year, with strong likelihood of multi year continuation.

The role

You will be part of the first line response function, monitoring security events, triaging alerts, and escalating incidents where required. The current programme is fully remote for at least the first twelve months, and project extensions typically follow the same pattern.

What they are looking for

  • Around twelve to eighteen months experience in a SOC
  • Azure Sentinel
  • Strong KQL capability
  • Comfortable working in a front line analyst role
  • Clear communication and structured thinking under pressure

Clearance

You must be eligible for DV in the future, which requires being British born. The role starts in March to allow time to obtain SC before joining the project. DV is not required at the point of joining but you must be willing to go through it.

If you want to deepen your experience inside a major national security environment and build long term project exposure, let me know and I'll run you through the details.
