Description
Purpose of the role:
Ensure all areas of the Ashtons Hospital Pharmacy site are cleaned and maintained in line with strict hygiene standards and cleaning schedules

Principal Accountabilities

  • Complete cleaning schedules across two locations to a high standard, ensuring premises are compliant to assigned hygiene standards
  • Engage with stakeholders to identify and complete ad-hoc tasks to address hygiene issues
  • Maintain accurate cleaning records to meet regulatory requirements
  • Engage with key stakeholders to ensure sufficient tools, equipment, materials and supplies are in place to perform all tasks
  • Securely hold and operate assigned keys and alarm fobs in order to gain access to assigned areas of the facility, including locking up duties and implementing security controls
  • Follow our company Standard Operating Procedures and observing the MHRA Good Distribution Practice guidelines and GPhC principals and standards, including effective use of systems and technology.
  • Adhere to our company Data Protection procedures; including the completion of annual training, using the provided secure ways to handle and dispose of data, and prompt reporting of any suspected data breaches.

Experience
Required Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Previous experience in cleaning and/or housekeeping, ideally within clinical settings
  • No formal qualifications are required and full training will be provided
  • Good knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety regulations would be beneficial

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and be able to converse successfully with colleagues
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluent in the English language
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines within assigned cleaning schedules
