Bradford Children and Families Trust has restructured its Children in Care service to span ages 0-18, creating three new teams, totalling 10 children in care teams providing greater continuity and better outcomes for children.

You'll also;
- Support students through practice education and newly qualified social workers undertaking the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
- Support the Team Manager to manage the performance of the team through audit activity, reflective group supervision and quality assurance activity.
- Be an expert in good practice, act as a consultant for others, advising on the most complex situations and taking the lead where necessary on complex assessments.
- Support less experienced Social Workers involved in legal proceedings.
- Undertake practice development projects with those who use our services, colleagues and stakeholders.
- Work to achieve permanency and outstanding outcomes for children and young people through relationship-based practice.
- Complete level 1 and level 2 PE training to support student learning and placements within the Trust.
- Drive forward learning and practice improvement in these core areas alongside dip sampling with practitioners each month.
To be successful in this role you will need;
- A DIPSW or equivalent qualification and are registered with the Social Work England as a qualified social worker.
- A full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes - adjustments can be considered for candidates with a disability.
- Practice Educator Stage 2 (PE2) or PE1 with a commitment to start PE2 within 6 months of joining.
- Significant experience of managing complex issues including child protection work and court proceedings.
- Experience embracing change and striving for excellent practice, placing children and young people at the heart of decision making.
- Experience of tackling the most complex needs with enthusiasm, drive, and determination.
- Experience operating as a level 3 Social Worker including involvement with complex legal proceedings.
