Are you a practical problem-solver with a passion for helping others? We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Mobility Equipment Service Technician to join a small team in East Kilbride.
About the Role:
You'll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of mobility equipment such as scooters, wheelchairs, and other assistive devices. This hands-on role combines technical workshop duties with customer-facing responsibilities, including equipment demonstrations and basic training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mobility equipment (scooters, wheelchairs, powerchairs)
- Conduct routine servicing and safety checks
- Deliver and collect equipment from customer homes
- Set up and install equipment at customer locations
- Provide demonstrations and basic training to customers
- Offer friendly and professional customer service
About You:
- Previous experience in mechanical or electrical repair (mobility equipment experience preferred)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Experience working with vulnerable or elderly customers
- Full UK driving licence
- Reliable, punctual, empathetic and practical
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.80 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
Work Location: In person
