About the Role

We are looking for a Talent Advisor to join our Talent Acquisition team at SMG. In this role, you will play a vital part in fuelling our growth by hiring exceptional talent across our Client and Campaign teams. You'll be responsible for high-volume recruitment, with a particular focus on roles in the North, such as Client Managers and Campaign Managers. Acting as a strategic partner to hiring managers, you'll combine data-led insights, hands-on delivery, and an exceptional candidate experience to bring in high-performing, culturally aligned talent.

At SMG, we hire for the future, which is fast-moving and changing shape. Do you have the potential to help shape our business? We're looking for brilliant, diverse talent who want to grow with us—people who are curious, ambitious, and eager to learn, whether as specialists or across teams.

Our culture is everything. If you're someone who stays honest, stays hungry, stays foolish, and has fun, you'll feel right at home here.

We value those who take ownership of their growth and bring fresh perspectives. That's why we're committed to equity, inclusion, and building a place where everyone feels empowered to grow. At SMG, it's not just about filling a role but building the future together.

We're proud to be ranked the #1 Best Marketing and Media Agency and to have received World-Class accreditation from Best Companies.

Are We What You're Looking For?

We move fast, adapt quickly, and like to challenge each other. We're looking for people who enjoy the buzz of change, the satisfaction of building something better, and the joy of working with a close-knit, values-driven team.

This isn't for everyone, but if you thrive in this environment, we'd love to meet you

A Little Bit About You

You'll bring:

  • Proven experience managing high-volume recruitment across client-facing or campaign delivery roles, ideally within a media, marketing, or agency environment.
  • An understanding of what makes an effective Client Manager, Account Manager, or Campaign Manager, able to assess both technical skill and cultural fit.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple vacancies simultaneously while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence, challenge, and advise hiring managers at all levels.
  • Experience using recruitment data to inform decision-making, track progress, and present insights clearly.
  • Skilled in candidate sourcing through job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, and talent mapping for repeat or niche roles.
  • Passionate about delivering an outstanding candidate experience at scale.
  • Deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all hiring activity.
  • Proficiency with ATS and CRM systems, ensuring accuracy and process consistency.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and motivated by achieving measurable outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Don't meet every single requirement? We still want to hear from you. If you believe you'd thrive in this role, your unique perspective might be just what we're looking for.

What You'll Be Doing

Your days will be dynamic. You might find yourself:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for high-volume roles across Client and Campaign Management, ensuring consistent delivery against business needs.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand team structures, role requirements, and what drives success in SMG's client and campaign functions.
  • Build a strong understanding of what defines a great Account Manager or Campaign Manager at SMG, both technically and culturally.
  • Proactively source and engage candidates across multiple channels, including job boards, LinkedIn, professional networks, and industry communities.
  • Develop and maintain talent pools to meet ongoing and future hiring needs, particularly in the northern regions.
  • Use recruitment metrics to track pipeline health, role progress, and hiring performance, ensuring insights are shared with hiring managers regularly.
  • Deliver a consistently excellent candidate experience, ensuring all communication reflects SMG's culture, values, and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Manager to streamline high-volume recruitment processes and implement data-led improvements.
  • Partner with People Experience to ensure smooth onboarding and alignment with SMG's values and ways of working.
  • Support Employer Brand initiatives that position SMG as an employer of choice for client and campaign talent in the North.
