We design and license disruptive intellectual property for use in semiconductor chips, with software development platforms to simplify the design process and reduce the time to market for complex System-on-Chip (SoC) and multi-chiplet systems. This enables our partners to innovate and deliver compelling solutions for data center, infrastructure, AI, Automotive, and Edge IoT markets. SOC-IP ARCHITECT

Reports to: Chief Hardware Architect (London, England Based)

Location (s): Cambridge England, United Kingdom (preferred)

Remote rest of Europe/Santa Clara, CA/ Bengaluru, India 

About the role:

We are seeking an SoC hardware architect to work on network-on-chip and/or cache-coherency IP specifications. This is an opportunity to play a key role in one of the industry's most happening startups, shaping our technology portfolio, bringing expertise and creativity to our solutions

Responsibilities:

  • Develop hardware architectures for Baya products
  • Explore options and validate architectural choices, using different modelling techniques as appropriate
  • Write specifications
  • Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to ensure accurate execution against architecture
  • Collaborate with customer-support team to ensure detailed understanding of architecture
  • Interact with lead customers to understand and meet their requirements

Qualifications and Preferred Skills:

  • BS, MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • 8+ years and current hands-on experience in SoC architecture or microarchitecture
  • In-depth understanding of digital hardware for some or all of cache-coherency, NoC, D2D interfaces, or other system IP
  • Experience of large SoC projects including system-level understanding of some or all of place-and-route, RAS, security, interface-IP, QoS
  • In-depth understanding of AMBA and other standard on-chip interfaces
  • Experience with modern programming/source-control/scripting eg Python/Git is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
