Job Title: Clinical Psychologist (Part-Time)

Location: Liverpool

Salary: £28,136 per annum (Actual Salary)

Hours: 18 hours per week

Role Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Clinical Psychologist to work as part of a multi/interdisciplinary team, providing clinical psychology and neuropsychology input for adults with acquired brain injury. You will consult with professionals, family members, and service users, contribute to research, and provide specialist guidance as appropriate.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist psychological and neuropsychological assessments using tests, observations, interviews, and self-report scales.
  • Coordinate service users' care as keyworker/clinical lead where appropriate.
  • Formulate and implement specialist interventions to support neurorehabilitation.
  • Translate service users' personal goals into SMART objectives with the team.
  • Deliver individual, family, and group psychological therapeutic interventions tailored to the needs of service users.
  • Contribute specialist psychological advice to multidisciplinary formulation and intervention plans.
  • Conduct psychologically based risk assessments and advise the team on risk management.
  • Maintain high standards of clinical record keeping in line with professional standards.
  • Collect relevant data and contribute to project management, audits, and service development.
  • Participate in on-call support on a rota basis.
  • Engage with current research and evidence-based practice to inform interventions.
  • Consult with carers and families to provide specialist psychological guidance.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Psychology accepted by BPS for Graduate Basis Registration (GBR) or equivalent.
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (BPS accredited) or equivalent to register with HCPC.
  • Registered with the HCPC.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation for the service user group.
  • Experience in producing clinical reports.
  • Strong understanding of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion principles.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to research, analyse, and manage complex clinical information.
  • Resilient and able to work with unpredictable or challenging service users.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an inter/multidisciplinary team.
