The Data, Technology and Innovation (DTI) division enables the FCA to be a digital-first, data-led smart regulator by delivering a secure, agile and cost-effective technology and data ecosystem that drives better decisions, transparency and operational efficiency.

Sitting within DTI, the Technology Resilience team safeguards the FCA's digital assets, services and suppliers to ensure the organisation remains secure and compliant.

Role responsibilities

The Digital, Technology & Innovation Supplier Management team owns the relationships with our most critical technology suppliers, driving strategic engagement, unlocking innovation and value while mitigating risk and ensuring robust governance is in place, alongside offering advice and support to a wide range of stakeholders. You will:

  • Build and manage strategic relationships with key IT suppliers to support FCA's growth with opportunities to contribute to service improvements and key decision-making

  • Drive innovation and value add from the supplier

  • Provide strategic supplier management including governance, risk and issue management, financial tracking and coaching to the team

  • Lead complex supplier engagements, acting as a key escalation point while implementing robust management processes to drive efficiency, reduce risk, foster innovation, and enhance supplier resilience

  • Support Procurement in contract negotiations, renewals and change management, advising senior management on supplier strategy, planning and risk exposure

  • Monitor service levels and performance, resolve disputes and cultivate collaborative relationships to ensure value for money and maintain the FCA's position as a customer of choice

  • Gain hands-on experience in the evolving AI landscape while working with senior stakeholders and Tier 1 tech suppliers

  • Lead or support supplier-led initiatives and share best practices across teams

Skills required

Minimum:

  • Extensive experience in Supplier Relationship Management in highly regulated industries

  • Experience leading and managing Technology suppliers, focusing on performance, governance and strategic engagement

  • Experience managing outsourced contracts and managing a complex contractual model

Essential:

  • Experience steering teams to deliver supplier management services, including mediation, dispute resolution, contract development and administration

  • Experience working in large, standards-based corporate environments with tight deadlines and familiarity with RACI-type deliverables frameworks
