Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the smooth operation of a cafe. Previous experience is preferred, additional training will be provided to help you succeed in this dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
  • Assist customers with menu selections and provide exceptional customer service
  • Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to in food preparation and handling
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, including cleaning equipment and surfaces regularly
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system
  • Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
  • Follow health and safety guidelines at all times, including proper food storage and hygiene practices

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar serving role is advantageous but not essential
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
  • Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients
  • Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods
  • Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour towards customers
  • Ability to work well within a team and adapt quickly to changing demands
  • Organised, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service
