Job Introduction

Adult Social Care - Information and Advice officer - Fixed term for 12 months

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our Quality Assurance team as an Information and Advice Officer . This role supports the service to meet the statutory duty placed on local authorities to establish and maintain a service for providing information and advice.

About the Role:

As our Information and Advice Officer, you will:

  • Manage, review, and develop BCP's Adult Social Care Information & Advice offer (online and printed), ensuring compliance with the Care Act 2014 and the needs of our residents.
  • Use co-production principles to involve stakeholders—including service users, carers, and partner organisations—in developing high-quality information and advice.
  • Build and maintain links with NHS and local Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) groups to foster partnership working and share relevant information with residents.
  • Ensure information is accessible in multiple formats, supporting people with different communication needs in line with the Accessible Information Standard (AIS).

The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, highly accurate with an eye for detail, and confident in working with a wide variety of stakeholders. If you have these skills and are interested in working in Adult Social Care, we would love to hear from you.
