The Department of Sport Science is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Hourly Paid Lecturer (HPL) to support our undergraduate Sport Science programmes. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in team sport performance, especially those who can deliver engaging and applied teaching in performance analysis at Level 5 and Level 6.

The successful candidate will act as module leader for a small cohort of undergraduate students, providing high-quality, research-informed teaching and assessment. You will play a key role in developing students' analytical and applied skills, preparing them for careers in sport performance and related fields.

We welcome applications from individuals with a strong academic or applied background in sport science. A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline is essential, and prior experience of teaching in higher education is desirable.

You will be joining a dynamic and supportive team within the Sport, Health and Performance Enhancement (SHAPE) Research Centre, where mentoring and professional development opportunities are available.

Our facilities include four state-of-the-art physiology laboratories, a British Olympic Association-approved environmental chamber, a refurbished performance analysis suite, and two biomechanics and neuromuscular performance labs housed in the £4 million Natural Sciences Research Centre.
