Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties

  • Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during service periods
  • Oversee food production, ensuring dishes are prepared to specifications and presented attractively
  • Manage food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
  • Support in training new team members and maintaining high levels of team management
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste
  • Ensure all dishes are cooked to the highest standard, adhering to recipes and presentation guidelines
  • Serve as a senior team member during service, providing guidance and support to junior staff

Skills

  • Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
  • Extensive food production and culinary experience, with a solid understanding of food preparation techniques
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
  • Experience in restaurant or hospitality settings with a focus on high-quality service delivery
  • Proficiency in cooking across various cuisines and styles
