Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and demonstrate a commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment for children. This role requires effective communication skills, behaviour management techniques, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the individual learning styles of students.
- Provide instruction in various subjects, including Maths and English, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.
- Utilise speech therapy techniques as needed to support students with communication challenges.
- Employ behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and provide feedback to parents and guardians.
- Mentor and support students in their academic and personal development.
- Engage in tutoring sessions for students requiring additional assistance outside of regular class hours.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Foster an inclusive environment that encourages participation from all students, including those with special educational needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the overall educational experience.
Experience
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential.
- Familiarity with applied behaviour analysis techniques is advantageous.
- Experience in special education or tutoring will be considered a strong asset.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to proofread educational materials for clarity and accuracy is beneficial.
