Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating excavators and other heavy machinery to assist in various construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Duties

  • Operate excavators and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist in the preparation of job sites, including site clearing and grading tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment used during operations.

Skills

  • Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
  • Proven experience operating excavators, with a valid certification or licence preferred.
  • Familiarity with commercial driving principles, including the operation of lorries for transporting equipment when necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and supervisors.
