Senior Solicitor – Fast Track & OIC Volume Claims Team Lead (Hybrid, £32K–£38K)

Location: Wakefield (Hybrid – 1 day in office, 4 days WFH)
Salary: £32,000 – £38,000 (DOE)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Lead (Volume Claims) to support our OIC and Fast Track RTA Fee Earners. You will play a critical role in technical supervision, providing guidance, training, and oversight of pre- and post-litigated cases up to £25K.

This is a hybrid role with only 1 day in the office and 4 days working from home, offering flexibility while leading a team in a fast-paced, high-volume legal environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the technical referral point for OIC and Fast Track litigated and non-litigated cases.Ensure complex cases are identified and referred to the appropriate liaison.Conduct file reviews and provide technical supervision to maintain high legal standards.Develop and implement litigation tactics to optimize case outcomes.Provide coaching and training to Fee Earners, identifying skills gaps and mentoring team members.Work closely with management to enhance processes and drive continuous improvement.Collaborate with external partners, including Counsel and Costs Draftsmen, as needed.Support the cost process and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Contribute to strategic projects and assist in implementing business-wide initiatives.

What We're Looking For:

Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (4+ years PQE preferred).
Strong experience in litigated personal injury claims, including OIC, Fast Track, Part 7 & Part 8 claims.
Proven ability to mentor, supervise, and coach legal professionals.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to case strategy.
Strong regulatory knowledge and experience in handling customer complaints.
Ability to work in a target-driven environment while maintaining high client care standards.
Proficiency in case management systems, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Desirable Skills:

Previous team leadership or supervisory experience.
Strong numerical and analytical skills with experience in MI reporting.
A resilient, self-motivated leader who thrives in a fast-changing environment.
Experience managing department-wide training and competency programs.
