We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and supervising kitchen staff.
  • Oversee food preparation and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and enhance existing offerings.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.
  • Handle any customer feedback or concerns regarding food quality or service.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen management.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • A passion for food production and an understanding of current culinary trends.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not essential.
