Job Title: Waking Night Support Worker
Starting Salary: £25,583 progressing to £28,141 per annum, pro rata for part time + time and a third for working between 10pm and 7am, plus 6% MUSHA payment for weekend working per annum (pro rata for part time)

Due to their learning disabilities and associated conditions such as epilepsy, physical disabilities and sensory impairments. This includes support with personal care, household tasks, medication and social activities. About the role
Working in peoples' own homes at Scarborough House, to support them with:
- To support people, in line with their support plans, including people with complex emotional, physical and health needs to maximise and maintain their independence.
- The support you will give will include intimate personal care, moving and handling including hoisting, turning and rolling, administering medication as needed and supporting with health needs such as epilepsy.
- Act as a named link worker to individuals, developing or contributing to support plans, risk assessments and guidelines
- Undertake medication duties, including administration and recording.
- To be responsible for handling of people's finances in line with support plans.
- Participate in the Performance Management and Development Scheme (PMDS); attend regular formal supervision and training
- Lead and coordinate shifts
- Assist with daily household tasks
- Support people to attend health appointments as and when required
- Participate in improving the quality of service experienced by the people we support.
About you
Essential Criteria
- Experience of supporting people with learning and physical disabilities and have either gained NVQ/QCF level 2 qualification or equivalent or be willing to work towards an RQF level 2
- The ability to reflect on your own experiences and practice to build professional relationships with the people we support, family carers and other agencies in order to understand the needs and rights of disabled adults
- Confident in the use of a computer to organise and record information clearly and accurately, update support plans, attend online training sessions, send emails etc.
- Always aware of risks and how they can be minimised ensuring the health and safety of colleagues and the people we support.
- Experience leading and coordinating shifts on a regular basis
