Activities Support Worker – Dementia Day Care Club (Barnsley)

£12.40 per hour | Part-time & Full-time Positions Available | No Weekends | Driving Essential

The Rainbow Care Group is expanding to Barnsley and we're on the lookout for Activities Support Workers to join our team delivering engaging, joyful, and meaningful experiences to people living with dementia.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supporting individuals living with dementia to take part in activities like crafts, music, games, baking, and gentle exercise
  • Helping to create a safe, welcoming, and uplifting environment
  • Offering one-to-one support where needed
  • Assisting with personal care (as required) in a respectful, person-centred way
  • Being part of a close-knit team dedicated to making each day special

What We're Looking For:

  • A driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
  • A naturally caring, enthusiastic, and compassionate approach
  • Someone who enjoys having fun, connecting with others, and bringing energy to group settings
  • Experience in care, support, or dementia services is welcome, but not essential – we provide full training
  • Physical capability to assist clients with their mobility.
