Quality Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Quality & Compliance Manager to work for a leading training providing. The role is to work within the Senior Management Team to ensure quality levels across the various training centres. At the Quality Manager you will be required to lead and manage the audit process and ensure compliance is achieved.
As the Quality and Audit lead you will be required to manage and develop the various training programmes within the apprenticeship framework. In return for your work you will receive a salary of up to £31,000 per annum + Holidays, Expenses and Pension.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Lead continuous improvement through rigorous self-assessment and the effective implementation of quality improvement plans.
- Analyse achievement rates and statistical data to complete Quality Improvement Plans across the business, ensuring that all programmes and funding streams are working towards Outstanding OFSTED grades and the SAR reflects this
- Lead and co-ordinate OFSTED visits
- To carry out internal quality audits across all contractual paperwork to ensure that teaching and learning is effective throughout the learner journey
- To strategically lead the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) of all trainers/ assessors and verifiers to reach outstanding grades on observations and ensure that the staff training matrix is up to date always.
- Lead External Quality Assurance/ Verification visits with all Awarding Bodies to gain and maintain DSC status.
- Manage the internal process and facilitate standardisation meetings for all Internal Quality Assurers/ Verifiers and assessors, reviewing and disseminating good practice.
- Lead and Manage the reaccreditation of Matrix, accreditation of IIP and other quality measures to support the growth and professionalism of the wider business
- Review and update the staff induction process to ensure that all staff inductions are standardised and fit for purpose
- Complete risk assessments create action plans for PREVENT and Safeguarding and conduct regular reviews of staff to ensure they are fully trained on PREVENT and Safeguarding
- Arrange and deliver generic staff training for PREVENT, British Values and Safeguarding to ensure these areas are embedded with learners
- Responsible for managing learner and employer surveys and implementing improvements to delivery where necessary.
- To keep up to date with industry and curriculum developments of standards and qualifications and communicate all updates to the SMT
- Create quarterly newsletters
- Responsible for updating Portland Training's policies and procedures in line with funder requirements
- Keeping up to date with SFA and ESF Funding Guidance and any changes within the sector
- Committed to continuous improvement – personal and organisational
- Carry out any additional duties as reasonably requested by line management
Qualifications/Skills required
- Experience of leading OFSTED inspection(s) with minimum grade 2 achieved
- Recognised Teaching Qualification e.g. PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS
- Must hold a recognised Internal Verifier award (D34 / V1/ IQA)
- Proven managerial experience
- Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English or equivalent
- Experience of both paper based and e-portfolios
- Occupationally competent in accordance with Awarding Body guidelines
- Experience of coaching and developing assessors
- Excellent knowledge of SFA funding compliance
- Ability to produce and manage action plans to raise quality standards
- Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
- Ability to use initiative and be flexible in approach
- Contribute and work well as part of a team
- Full driving license, own vehicle and business insurance as travelling will be required.
