We're looking for hard-working, experienced bar backs to join our team on this years Manchester Christmas Markets from 7th November to 22nd December.

The role will be between 30-50 hours a week, working 4-5 days for the duration of the Christmas markets. Please only apply if you are able to commit to these hours.

All candidates should have suitable experience bar backing in a busy, fast-paced environment.

As a bar back you'll be in charge of keeping a well-stocked, clean and organised bar both front and back of house. You'll be the right-hand person for all our busy bar team allowing them to provide an excellent service.

The perfect bar back should be:

  • Efficient in carrying out their duties

  • Observational – this job is all about working ahead. You should be able to pre-empt things that need doing behind the bar and use your initiative.

  • An avid multitasker – there's always more than one thing that needs doing behind the bar

  • A Team player, you will be a central part of the team and must be able to work well alongside other people.

  • Familiar with back of house responsibilities

  • Able to thrive in fast-paced environments, with a knack for anticipating needs before they arise

  • Energetic and able to stay cool under pressure

This is job is all about managing your time well, using your initiative and anticipating the needs of the people you are working with.

You will be responsible for:

  • Keeping well-stocked fridges, optics and glassware

  • Collecting and cleaning glassware/mugs from the bar

  • Replacing beer kegs and optics

  • Emptying bins

  • Stock takes

Must have:

  • Previous bar-backing/runner experience

  • Safety boots

  • Physically fit and capable to handle the demands of the job

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
