Cocktail Bartender – Nightcap, Edinburgh

Reporting to: Assistant Bar Manager / Bar Manager

Pay: £13.45 per hour + share + service charge

Contract: Minimum 35 hours (4 days on / 3 days off where possible)

Who We Are

Opened in 2016, Nightcap has become one of Edinburgh's leading late-night cocktail bars, known for intimate service, high-level drinks, and a warm, relaxed atmosphere. Within the Tiny Cup Collective - the team behind St Vincent, Crybaby, and Nip's - Nightcap has grown into our flagship late-night venue, representing the group's commitment to exceptional drinks and hospitality. Across all our venues, we focus on creativity, quality, and building teams who take pride in their craft.

  • a more energetic, late-night space downstairs

What You'll Be Doing

Guest Experience

  • Deliver warm, engaging, memorable service
  • Anticipate guest needs and offer thoughtful recommendations
  • Maintain a relaxed but professional atmosphere

Cocktail & Product Knowledge

  • Prepare cocktails with confidence, accuracy, and great presentation
  • Show a strong grasp of classics and willingness to learn new techniques
  • Master the Nightcap menu

Operations & Standards

  • Keep the bar clean, organised, and service-ready
  • Follow opening, closing, and prep procedures accurately
  • Maintain excellent hygiene, safety, and compliance
  • Support stock control and minimise waste

Teamwork & Development

  • Communicate clearly and positively with the team
  • Take part in training, team meetings, and menu development
  • Bring reliability, professionalism, and energy to each shift

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in cocktail bars (high-end or high-volume)
  • Excellent communication and emotional intelligence
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in your craft
  • Calm under pressure, especially during late-night service
  • A team-first attitude and willingness to grow
  • Comfortable working across both refined and high-energy environments

Scottish Personal Licence preferred but not essential.
