What you'll be doing:
As a key member of Slough Borough Council's RMI Team, you will be an integral part of the Service. Collectively, we oversee the maintenance and rejuvenation of Slough's 6000 tenanted properties and 1,100 leasehold properties, always striving to achieve the highest standards for the tenants, leaseholders and residents who rely on us.
Within this fantastic role, you will be undertaking technical surveys on properties and advise accordingly, liaising with our Service Partner and its sub-contractors making sure the work carried out is cost viable and meets contractual standards. You will be carrying out pre- and post-inspections and raising any remedial work orders, inspecting aspects of compliance, making sure each project is aligned with company procedures and appropriate legislation. The successful candidate must possess extensive knowledge of building maintenance and diagnostic techniques, a good understanding of health and safety legislation, experience of the social housing or residential property sector, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and targets. As much of the role will require frequent site visits, access to your own vehicle with a full UK driving licence.

Annual increments, where applicable, are usually payable on 1st April each year, subject to six months service in the post, until the maximum spinal column point of the level has been reached. The payment of annual increments is not automatic and is subject to satisfactory performance as assessed by your Director.
