Preboarding Team Member

Our team is involved in every element of People and Finance activity. That includes payroll, casework, referencing and onboarding, through to billing, paying suppliers, and month end activities. It's up to us to lead, support and deliver an excellent service across our core processes including Managing Revenue; Procurement; Project and Asset Management; Finance Processes; People Processes.

Our Business Services teams focus on three areas: Systems and Transformation, Service Delivery, and Business Intelligence.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Preboarding team in Glasgow.

As a Team Member, you will deliver agreed Preboarding & Recruitment activities, as defined by the business and in line with regulatory requirements. Delivering a great candidate and stakeholder experience is crucial to the role. You will support candidates and internal stakeholders through the Heathrow recruitment and preboarding process.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a minimum of two weeks of in-house, face-to-face training.

• Creating and issuing documents, including offer letters and contracts of employment
• Processing starters and movers in our HR system
• Updating system records
• Pre-employment Right to Work checks
• Pre-employment medical requirements
• Peer checking the work of other Team Members
• Delivering own work activities to meet the service standards that achieve business requirements – for example, satisfying quality requirements by minimizing re-work (e.g., contract re-issuing or payroll entries)
• Ensuring exceptional professional and compliance standards are maintained
• Maintaining a high level of attention to detail to ensure that data is checked and inputted accurately
• Ensuring all received data is correctly recorded in Heathrow systems to provide an auditable trail of documents and actions
• Establishing strong working relationships across the team and wider stakeholders

• Consistently looking to drive process improvement and participate across process or change initiatives

• Good analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy

• Experienced user of Microsoft Office tools
• Ability to work to tight deadlines, with a flexible agile attitude
• Good organisational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise and work to deadlines

Working location

Your contractual place of work will be the Heathrow Business Services Centre in Glasgow so you'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to work.

We also have some hybrid roles with a working approach which offers the opportunity for colleagues to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process.
