To support the efficient production of high-quality mattresses by performing a variety of manufacturing, assembly, and quality control tasks in line with company standards and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing: Participate in all stages of the mattress production process — cutting, assembling, finishing, and packing — in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
  • Heavy Lifting: Safely lift, move, and position heavy materials and mattress components using correct manual handling techniques and equipment as required.
  • Assembly: Assemble components such as springs, foams, and covers, ensuring precise alignment and adherence to product specifications.
  • Quality Control: Inspect products during and after assembly to identify defects or inconsistencies. Report any issues promptly to supervisors or quality control teams.
  • Machine Operation: Operate machinery and tools involved in the manufacturing process safely and efficiently.
  • Material Handling: Receive, organise, and manage raw materials and components to support uninterrupted production flow.
  • Health & Safety: Follow all health and safety protocols and report hazards or incidents immediately.
  • Cleaning & Maintenance: Keep the work area clean, organised, and free from obstructions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and managers to meet production targets and improve processes.
  • Shift Flexibility: Be prepared to work different shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and nights, to support continuous operations.

Skills and Experience

  • Physical Fitness: Capable of lifting and handling heavy materials safely and efficiently.
  • Attention to Detail: Able to identify quality issues and ensure components are accurately aligned.
  • Technical Aptitude: Comfortable using basic machinery and tools; open to learning new technologies.
  • Safety Awareness: Committed to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Reliability: Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
  • Experience: Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or assembly is desirable but not essential.
  • Shift Availability: Willing to work flexible hours to meet production demands.
  • 06:00 - 14:30
  • 14:00 - 22:00
  • 22:00 - 06:00

Due to annual leave no application will be reviewed until 18th November at the earliest

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £12.21 per hour
