Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in joinery and carpentry, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. As a Joiner, you will be responsible for fabricating and installing wooden structures, fixtures, and fittings in both residential and commercial settings. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality craftsmanship, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Duties

  • Fabricate and assemble wooden structures such as doors, windows, and furniture.
  • Install joinery products in accordance with specifications and building regulations.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
  • Perform masonry work as required for structural support or aesthetic purposes.
  • Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square as per project requirements.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople including carpenters and electricians on-site.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Assist with heavy lifting and moving of materials as necessary during projects.

Skills

  • Proficient in joinery techniques with experience in carpentry.
  • Strong knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in the construction industry.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
  • Familiarity with roofing structures is advantageous.
  • Basic electrical skills are desirable for integrated projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
