Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in driving and delivery of vehicles to customers, with the ability to operate various vehicles and carry out vehicle checks, including car and vans. This role requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to ensuring timely and safe collection/delivery of vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and drive vehicles safely, adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
  • Manoeuvring vehicles in yard, ensuring proper care is taken to prevent damage.
  • Conduct routine inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition, reporting any mechanical issues as necessary.
  • Inspecting every vehicle before driving to ensure no faults issues occur and report to the correct department.
  • Communicate effectively with logistics, after sales staff and customers regarding collection/delivery of vehicles and any potential delays.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during collection/deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns professionally.
  • Assist in yard duties as needed, including checking vehicles lights, levels, warning lights etc and report to the correct department.

Qualifications

  • Valid driving licence with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle type.
  • Previous experience as a driver is preferred, with a solid understanding of satnav routes and logistics.
  • Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on vehicles is advantageous.
  • Experience in basic mechanical skills preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and customers.
  • Previous driving experience is beneficial but not essential.
