The Assistant Restaurant Manager will play a key role in team management and staff development, contributing to a positive work environment.

Duties

  • Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and adherence to quality standards.
  • Supervise and train staff in serving practices.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
  • Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and leadership.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor staff performance, providing feedback and support for professional development.
  • To take responsibility for the effective leadership of the restaurant employees in the absence of the General Manager, to ensure the efficient operation of the Restaurant
  • To ensure quality standards and procedures are fully understood, implemented and regularly reviewed, and that formal and informal feedback is used to ensure continual improvement.
  • To ensure company policies relating to cash handling, stock control and stock ordering are implemented and monitored, taking appropriate action to resolve problems.
  • To ensure the restaurant area, fixtures and equipment are properly maintained
  • To ensure a safe environment is maintained in compliance with health, safety, fire, hygiene and security legislation and company policies and procedures.
  • To assist with the recruitment, selection and utilisation of restaurant employees to achieve the optimum use of employee resource
  • Any other duties as required by management.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management.
  • Excellent understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
  • A passion for the hospitality industry and commitment to delivering high-quality dining experiences.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
