Key Responsibilities

The role is incredible varied and on any given day you could be;

  • Coordinating placements, searching for educational, residential, and fostering arrangements, including emergency requests.
  • Ensuring robust and accurate record keeping for children
  • Liaising with providers and service areas to complete referral forms, analysing and challenging provider costings, issuing of Individual Placement Agreements or drafting contracts.
  • Conducting quality monitoring assessments and visits to ensure contract compliance and service quality.

  • Working with Finance to manage placement costs and maintain budget records.

  • Supporting the team in the preparation of tribunal and educational placement costings
  • undertake a range of financial management processes, including processing orders, resolving issues, budget monitoring, maintaining commitment records and reconciling accounts.

You'll work alongside multiple services and stakeholders to help ensure some of the most vulnerable children and young people within our community are in a safe residential and education placement

To thrive in this role, you'll bring:

  • A solid understanding of the systems supporting looked-after children.
  • Experience in data tracking, performance reporting, and using data to inform decision-making.
  • Confidence in attending and contributing to professional meetings.
    A collaborative mindset, working closely with colleagues toward- d goals.

Bonus skills that will make your application stand out:

  • Knowledge of statutory frameworks within Children's Social Care and SEN 0–25 education.
  • Experience using SEND databases or a strong understanding of commissioning and procurement processes.
