The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing grilled dishes, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the overall efficiency of the kitchen.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook grilled dishes according to recipes and customer specifications
  • Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed during food handling and preparation
  • Maintain cleanliness of the grill station and surrounding areas throughout shifts
  • Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality and safety
  • Support other kitchen staff during busy periods, including serving orders when required
  • Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or catering environment
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a commercial kitchen
  • Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques, particularly grilling methods
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Previous experience in serving customers or working in a hospitality setting is advantageous
  • A genuine passion for culinary arts and delivering excellent customer service
