Deputy Manager – Children's Residential Home (Uxbridge)

Location: Uxbridge, West London

Salary: £38,000–£45,000

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

You will:

  • Support the Registered Manager with daily operations and quality standards.
  • Lead shifts, supervise staff and promote a positive, nurturing and therapeutic environment.
  • Ensure safeguarding, behaviour support, risk management and care planning are consistently high-quality.
  • Assist with training, mentoring and developing the team.
  • Support with audits, quality assurance, Ofsted preparation and report writing.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and provide leadership cover when required.
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, professionals and external agencies.

About You

You will bring:

  • Experience as a Senior Residential Worker, Team Leader or Deputy Manager in a children's home.
  • Working knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and safeguarding.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential) and willingness to work towards Level 5.
  • Strong communication, emotional resilience and leadership abilities.
  • A child-centred approach and commitment to trauma-informed care.
  • Flexibility to support the needs of the home, including on-call responsibilities.
