Giffords Recycling are now part of the Pontrilas Group and we are looking to recruit a Pallet Stripper to join our expanding business in West Bromwich. The successful candidate need to have experience working in a busy warehouse environment. You must be able to commute to the B70 8JN postcode.

The role involves the following duties:

Pallet Stripper

  • The successful candidate will need to be able to strip pallets.
  • General manual handling of pallets
  • Proficient using various hand tools
  • General warehouse duties in order to maintain smooth and safe operations on-site
  • Keep place of work clean, neat and tidy
  • Adhere to all health and safety in the workplace

Requirements

  • Warehouse experience required for all role
  • Labouring experience or similar is desirable but training will be give
  • General manual handling of pallets
  • Proficient using various hand tools
  • General warehouse duties in order to maintain smooth and safe operations on-site
  • Keep place of work clean, neat and tidy
  • Confident with manual handling techniques
  • Good verbal communication
  • A reasonable level of fitness is essential for this role due to weight loads 20-30 kgs
  • Frequent bending and lifting will be a requirement of the role
  • Abe to stand for longer periods of time
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Understand the importance of Health and Fire Safety

What's on Offer

  • Hours of work: 39 per week - Monday to Thursday 7.am to 4p.m.
  • Early finish on a Friday. Contracted hours 7a.m. to 3p.m.
  • Flexibility will be required for this role - occasional Saturday morning may be required subject to business need
