We are currently recruiting for a full time, fixed term position for a Pharmacy Dispenser at our site in The Mount Vernon Hospital, Outpatient Pharmacy, Northwood. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate interested in expanding their skills and knowledge in an outpatient hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in working within a community pharmacy dispensary based setting.

The working hours for this position is Monday - Friday 8.45am - 5.15pm.

Closing Date: Friday 9th January 2026.

Are you an NVQ Level 2 qualified dispenser with a qualification from a nationally recognised provider such as the NPA or Buttercups looking to progress your career and gain an NVQ3 qualification as a registered Pharmacy Technician?

You will work closely with a highly motivated Pharmacy team, further developing and delivering an efficient, convenient and accessible pharmacy service to meet the needs of our patients.

Your day to day duties will involve:

  • Supporting the technical aspects of the dispensary including the receipt and endorsing of prescriptions as well as the labelling, dispensing and assembly of medication.
  • Counsel patients on the use of their medication where appropriate, tailoring the conversations to ensure patients are fully informed about their healthcare needs.
  • Support the dispensary team in actively promoting efficient pharmacy operations and services.

Full training will be provided on induction. As a minimum requirement, you will have completed or are currently working towards the Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) course or equivalent.
