Adult Supported Living Ltd. are a small company and have been providing supported living services for twenty six years in Harrogate. Our services enable adults with mental health difficulties to lead fulfilling lives, as independently as they are able to. The role requires the provision of support with everyday aspects of living such as community activities, medication, visiting the G.P., living skills, managing finances, hygiene, domestic tasks, shopping, meals, diet and social activities. It also includes providing the behavioral and emotional support required to manage the service user's mental health condition. The role does not include personal care or manual handling.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate responsibility, initiative, dependability, self-reliance and team working skills. The position is a lone working role, at 2 houses, with support from the manager and on-call. The work involves shared support of a household of 4/5 people and also 1:1 support work. Experience is preferred, but not essential, an engaging, caring, person centered, creative approach is highly valued. Training opportunities are provided to obtain recognised Health and Social Care qualifications.
Adult Supported Living Ltd. operates under a safe recruitment policy which safeguards and protects vulnerable adults by carrying out a robust series of practices through the recruiting process to ensure the suitability of employees. This includes an enhanced DBS check, provision of references, pre-employment checks such as right to work and qualifications and a thorough induction process and probationary period.
Location – Harrogate (Starbeck area).
This is a bank contract, if you lead a busy life and want to pick up some shifts here and there this could be ideal for you. The hours of work are flexible and determined by the needs of the services, staff sickness cover, staff holiday cover etc. Do contact us for a discussion on how this could look for you.
Daytime shifts, ranging from 3-7 hours. These could include any of the following... from 8am-11am, 8am-12pm, 8am-2.00pm, 12pm-7pm and 3pm-7pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am-12pm, 12pm-7pm and 4pm-7pm Saturdays and Sundays.
Sleep-in shift 10.00pm-8.00am
Weekend and bank holiday working as required.
As the role includes some short shifts applicants must live in the Harrogate area.
Hourly Rate £12.21 per hour. Sleep-in £78.30.
