An opportunity to write code that actually generates returns in the markets and has a direct and tangible impact on the success of a top trading firm.

We're working with a small but very high performing and well established prop trading & market making firm made up of traders and coders and they're looking to add two highly skilled software engineers to work on their algo trading systems and low latency trading infrastructure.

They purposfully keep things lean, which means that their software engineers aren't pigeonholed into one part of the business or siloed into working on one part of the system - you'll work in direct collaboration with traders and take on projects covering the entire trade lifecycle, including (but not limited to):

Market Data & Exchange Connectivity, Execution & Order Management, Real Time Risk & PnL, Pricing & Hedging

Not only will you get to take end to end ownership of business critical projects from design to delivery, you'll also be a key contributor to greenfield projects being kicked off in Rust, so a great opportunity to get ahead of the curve and work with Rust commercially.

You do not need Financial Services OR Rust Experience to apply for this role but must be able to show a demonstrable interest / articulate why you want to get into the buyside world.

The only non negotiables are:

  • Professional Java Software Dev experience - any functional programming exp is a bonus.
  • A passion for tech and picking up new tools and technologies - Rust in particular.
  • STEM Degree & Solid Computer Science Fundamentals.

Base Salary Up to £150k + Performance Based Bonuses Offering Significant Upside.
