Software Project Manager

£55,000 - £60,000 | Poole (Hybrid – 3 days/week in the office)

You know what it takes to deliver software projects: the plans, the people, and the pressure.

You're comfortable managing complex software projects with multiple moving parts. You've done the dance between developers, product managers, testers, and stakeholders and you know how to keep everyone aligned, informed, and moving forward.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading multiple software delivery projects across the full lifecycle from discovery to go-live
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams (developers, product, QA, architecture, support)
  • Managing scope, schedule, risks, and budget while keeping everyone on the same page
  • Translating business and customer needs into actionable delivery plans and milestones
  • Handling internal and external stakeholder comms with clarity and confidence
  • Mentoring junior PMs and contributing to ongoing process improvements
  • Championing quality, ownership, and continuous improvement across every project
  • Supporting the Head of Programme Delivery and occasionally deputising when required

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Proven experience delivering complex software projects in a SaaS or software environment
  • Strong grasp of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methods (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
  • Confident stakeholder manager - you can engage with execs, clients, and technical teams alike
  • Project management certifications like PRINCE2 or PMP
  • Excellent organisation, communication, and leadership skills
  • Familiar with tools like JIRA, SharePoint, Microsoft Project and cloud-native platforms like AWS
  • Bonus points for experience in software implementations involving integration, change management, or high-availability platforms
