Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Fabric Carpenter Fire Door Operative based in London. Responsibilities include the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire doors in compliance with regulatory standards. The individual will also conduct inspections, ensure fire door integrity, replace components as needed, and maintain accurate documentation of completed work. Collaboration with team members to ensure safety and efficiency will also be a key component of the role.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in carpentry-related tasks and installation of fire doors.
  • Experience in maintenance, repairs, and ensuring compliance with fire safety standards.
  • Knowledge of building regulations and fire safety standards.
  • Ability to follow technical drawings, specifications, and detailed instructions.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as NVQ in Carpentry or Fire Door Installation, or equivalent experience, are highly desirable.
  • Experience within facilities management or construction industries is a plus.
