After School Club Sports Coach

Swift Sports Coaching are one of the leading providers of sports provision in Primary schools throughout Bristol and South Gloucestershire. We are looking for fun, friendly, outgoing, enthusaitic individuals to join our energetic and passionate team.

Post Title: Primary School Sports Coach will deliver a variety of after school / holiday clubs. Times and job roles can be flexible.

Working Hours: The position is required on a part time or full time basis, working hours primarily will be between 3: pm (Mon - Fri) term time - other hours may be avaialble during the school day and up to 37.5 hours per week during the school holidays.

£ per hour (depending on experience and qualifications. Up to 15 hours per week avaialble for the right candidate.

Responsible To: General Manager

Relevant experience is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided.

• Full UK driving license and own car is essential.
• DBS preferable but not essential - Swift Sports Coaching can apply for this for you.

Purpose of the role: You will be delivering a range of safe, fun and inclusive sports sessions and activities and be responsible to:

· Lead After School Club Sports activities

• Assist P.E lessons

· Lead After School Clubs / activities in a variety of sports and age groups

· Confidently deliver a wide range of sports

· Effectively plan, deliver and evaluate a range of high quality multi skill and sport specific sessions

· Follow Swift Sports Coaching and school safeguarding procedures

· Manage pupils behaviour at all times

· Represent Swift Sports Coaching in a positive manner

· Liaise positively and confidently with children, parents/carers and school staff

It is essential that the successful candidate has the following:

· Excellent communication skills

· Prioritise the safety and well being of the young children they work with

· Organised and punctual

· Can work alone or as part of a team

Data Protection and Safeguarding:

• Work within the requirements of Data Protection at all times
• Understand your responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding and child protection and how to highlight an issue / concerns
• Remain vigilant to ensure all students are protected from potential harm General
• The post-holder will be expected to undertake any appropriate training provided by Swift Sports Coaching to assist them in carrying out any of the above duties.
• The post-holder will be expected to contribute to the protection of children and young people, as appropriate, in accordance with any agreed policies and/or guidelines, reporting any issues or concerns to their immediate line manager.
• The post-holder will be required to promote, monitor and maintain health, safety and security in the work place. To include ensuring that the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act, COSHH, and all other mandatory regulations are adhered to
• An Enhanced Disclosure with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) will be undertaken before an appointment can be confirmed. The successful candidate will be required to disclose all convictions and cautions, including those that are spent; the exception being certain, minor cautions and convictions which are 'protected' for the purposes of the 'Exceptions' order. '
