Our services include but are not limited to: terrestrial ecology, freshwater ecology, hydrology, marine laboratory, arboricultural services, geographic information systems (GIS) and mapping, environmental impact assessments.
Position
Due to the requirements, this is primarily an office-based role, in our Guildford office.
If you are a proactive individual, who is detail oriented, highly organised, and has exceptional communication skills, this role could be a great opportunity for you.
Your role will be to make sure our ecologists are in the right place at the right time with the right equipment to deliver our first-class ecology services to our clients.
On a daily basis you'll work closely with our Resourcing Manager, Project Managers and team leaders across our Ecology department to support projects through allocation of staff time and equipment.
You'll be responsible for:
- Allocating resources to projects and responding to changing circumstances such as project changes and absence to ensure continued project delivery.
Making sure our ecologists have the right equipment in the field.
Monitoring the maintenance programme for equipment across all offices - making the best use of our kit and making sure it's in the right place when we need to use it.
Salary: from £25,063 per annum.
Requirements
You will be a confident and forward-thinking individual with the ability to multitask whilst staying calm under pressure.
You will be able to offer:
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, able to build trust and confidence, and with the ability to resolve conflict with an outcome-focused working style.
Excellent organisation and time management skills. Able to prioritise in a fast-paced ad changing environment.
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ideally, although not essential, you will have experience working in a resource planning environment, organising scheduling plans and logistics, or similar.
