The Role:

Being proactive is essential, working on ideas and solutions, for both new and existing clients and brands is critical.

As Digital Lead, you'll be a thinker and a doer, delivering and project managing results through working closely with the wider team. For the first six months you will be required to get your hands 'dirty' and implement code, update websites and liaise with our hosting companies.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and implement digital briefs, understand the insight and lead the digital development process.
  • Working with the Client Service Teams (CST) you will identify, advise and/or deliver clients' digital development requirements within multi-channel marketing campaigns and define innovative and highly effective digital development strategies for our clients and us. You will ensure all outputs meet agreed accessibility and web standards. You will be responsible for keeping the CST updated on all aspects of digital projects from conception to completion.
  • Being client facing where required on project scoping and development. Ensure that all digital work adheres to each client's brand guidelines. Work with the CST to provide accurate estimates for digital development and deliver work on time and within budget.
  • To support pitch teams by supplying relevant work to present to clients. Stay abreast of digital tools, platforms, and industry trends.
  • Understand hosting, domain name management and data protection requirements in order to work in collaboration with the wider team to ensure data security and GDPR compliance for digital projects.
  • To act as an internal digital development expert and enthuse staff about the latest digital applications, continuing to educate internal teams on the benefits/business impacts of digital channels.

What you need to be successful:

Skills

  • Prior experience in running digital projects.
  • Comfortable working with technical systems and platforms, including Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress, Craft and Drupal) and digital project management software
  • Development experience in JavaScript, HTML, CSS or another front-end technology.
  • Experience of integrations with identity platforms and other SAAS implementations would be an advantage.
  • Strong technical and commercial understanding including troubleshooting issues using logs analysis, APIs and reviewing code
  • Experience of working with the Adobe Product Suite including AEM would be desired.
  • To be diligent and make sure that work is delivered on time, on budget and on brief.
  • A forensic attention to detail and the ability to implement process to maintain quality control across the account/project lifespan
  • Business development and commercial awareness plus strategic thinking across digital space
  • Understanding of SEO, social media and PPC would be an advantage but not essential
