Role title: Regulatory Assurance Manager

TPR grade & pay group: Lead Associate – R&O

Starting salary: From £35,598 per annum, dependent on skills and experience

Contract type: Permanent

Location: Brighton/hybrid 6 days per month in the office

The role and responsibilities

As Regulatory Assurance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering assurance and objective opinions on the quality of regulatory interventions and decision-making across the organisation. You will apply your technical expertise in regulation and advanced investigation skills to review complex interventions, identify trends and risks, and provide clear, actionable recommendations to senior management. This role requires high-quality reporting and communication, with a focus on supporting risk mitigation and continuous improvement at all levels, including the Senior Leadership Team, Executive Committee, Board, and Audit and Risk Assurance Committee.

Role Criteria

  • Established technical knowledge of pension and/or financial regulation.
  • Highly skilled in investigations, quality assurance, auditing, or risk management.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage end-to-end investigations or assurance reviews.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess effectiveness, risk, and strategic approaches.
  • Experience in developing and delivering clear, concise reports and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to interrogate data, identify trends, and assess risks in regulatory activity.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across all organisational levels.
  • Proactive, flexible, and confident in challenging decision-making to drive continuous improvement

The Team

Risk and Assurance consists of two teams - Enterprise Risk and Regulatory Assurance.

We deliver assurance that our activities are properly executed and that supporting processes are robust and fit for purpose, identifying opportunities to drive improvements.

We oversee the risk framework that enables TPR to track and mitigate internal and external risks that, should they occur, will affect our strategy, operations and reputation.
